Specifications
Suction/Cleaning Power
The vacuum uses a 250-watt digital motor and an efficient cyclonic system to produce 18 Kpa of suction power. In addition to the strong suction, the Alfawise AR182BLDC uses one of the two spinning brush rolls to ensure stuck-on dirt gets removed. Both the upright and handheld versions clean using the same amount of suction power, given that the detachable unit contains the motor. For specialized cleaning, the manufacturer provides a range of attachments. One of these is a motorized nozzle useful to quickly handle pet hair, stubborn dirt and other more difficult messes.

Input Power
A 22.2V lithium-ion battery rated 2200 mAh powers the vacuum providing approximately 30-35 minutes of cleaning time. There are only two settings, and using the highest speed only allows you 12 minutes of cleaning time.

MAX button on the back of the Alfawise cordless vacuum
The battery charges for 4 hours. What I like about the battery is that it’s removable. By purchasing an extra one, you get to increase the runtime to 70 minutes – or 24 minutes when using the high-suction mode. The extended runtime is pretty useful if you have kids around and play areas to vacuum, or if you have pets and lots of hair to pick up.

Dust Capacity
The vacuum uses a 27 oz (800 ml) dust cup, quite large and above what many cordless vacs would offer. The dust bin is an advantage if you have a high-traffic or large home. You will vacuum for extended periods without stopping, which is what every homeowner wants for their vacuums. By comparison, the latest V11 from Dyson can only accommodate 25 oz of debris and it’s twice as heavy. The bin is pretty easy to empty with a lower lid that opens into the trash can. It empties hygienically, too, and dust will not fly around to irritate your respiratory system.
The post-motor foam filter is mounted on the dust cup. During emptying, you may choose to clean it. It’s a washable filter that you can clean in warm water. Only ensure it dries up completely before putting it back in, or you risk damaging the vacuum and voiding the warranty. The dust bin also requires cleaning, and the manufacturer recommends doing so every emptying trip.
Filtration Efficiency
The Alfawise AR182BLDC uses a cyclonic separator. It’s a multi-stage filtration system that ensures most particles settle in the dust compartment. The pre-motor filter consists of a stainless steel mesh that traps the larger particles. The post-motor filter is made of foam material and is washable. According to the manufacturer, the filtration system traps allergens up to 0.3 microns to keep the air in your home clean. However, since it’s not a HEPA, I doubt it has the same efficiency, so I’m going to pin this to the questionable list of features.

Weight and Dimensions
Without the attachments, the vacuum weighs 3 pounds, making it a lightweight cordless vacuum. The lightweight nature is one of the reasons for the popularity of this vacuum. Almost anyone can use it and even vacuum for extended periods without feeling exhausted. The vacuum is also not large, measuring only 12.99″ x 4.53″ x 8.86″. These dimensions represent the hand vac without the extension wand and cleaning nozzle. With the tube attached, the vacuum stands tall enough to let you clean while standing upright. When used with the handheld version, it allows you to reach high areas.
Warranty
A one-year warranty backs it. Most resellers will honor the warranty. However, it’s advisable to buy from trusted retailers or wholesalers.
Price
This stick from Alfawise is around $100, making it one of the most affordable cordless vacuums out there. If you’re buying from Gearbest, use the coupons HKLQ4133AA1 (HK warehouse) or YNLQ4133AA (EU warehouse) to shave a few bucks off. I hope this helps!

Special Features
The Alfawise AR182BLDC is an all-round cleaning device with features to make it versatile, practical, and usable. These are features that make the vacuum worth considering for your home’s cleaning needs. I picked those that make this particular model unique from the others.
Strong 18kP Suction
The vacuum uses a 250-watt brushless motor that spins at a very high speed. With such a steady airflow, the Alfawise AR182BLDC cleans different surfaces with only a few passes of the floor head. The cleaning power also remains the same when the vacuum is a handheld or full-size vacuum. Using a cyclone separation system, the vacuum doesn’t experience clogging issues. The cleaning power remains high during the entire vacuuming session.

Main power brush
Apart from the airflow at the nozzle, the vacuum’s cleaning ability is further enhanced by the rotating brush roll. The brush loosens dirt and draws it toward the suction inlet for pick up that’s more effective. The vacuum uses different brushes to achieve this, which brings us to the next feature.
Two Different Brush Rolls
To make cleaning more specialized and effective, the manufacturer includes two nozzles in the box; one made of soft material and the other stiff bristles. The soft roller brush suits hard floors. It cleans safely, without scratching sensitive flooring. It also prevents debris from scattering around and makes cleaning activities more efficient. For carpets, you have a different brush with stiff bristles. As it spins, the bristles remove embedded dirt and bring it to the surface for easier removal.

Two brush rolls
Detachable Handheld
The AR182BLDC is a two in one device. It converts into a handheld and becomes a versatile cleaning machine that you can use anywhere. While many vacuums feature this design, this Alfawise hand vac stands out for various reasons. It’s lightweight and sturdy. Using the provided attachments, you can use it to clean mattresses, couches, curtains, ceilings, and virtually every surface in your home. If you do not have a separate car vacuum, you can also use the handheld to vacuum your car’s interior.
Headlights
The floor nozzle illuminates the path ahead using a row of bright LED lights. With this feature, it’s unlikely that you will miss spots of dirt in your home. It allows you to vacuum in the dark or areas with dim light. You will leave no uncleaned areas underneath couches and beds, which means a cleaner home. Only the floor head is equipped with the headlights, being the nozzle that mostly cleans places with little lighting such as under furniture.

Low Noise Operation
Producing around 72 dB at most (and around 66 dB more than 4 ft away), the Alfawise AR182BLDC is a relatively quiet cleaning device. Your pets will not dislike your vacuuming sessions, and your cleaning activities won’t wake a sleeping toddler. You can even use it at night if unavailable to clean during the day. Not many powerful vacuums can be this quiet. Most of them surpass the 75 dB mark to produce almost unbearable noise.

Large Dust Bin
Few affordable cordless vacs have dust bins that are this large. With a capacity to hold 27 oz of debris, the dust compartment lets you vacuum large areas without stopping. It’s a capacity that suits your needs, if you have a large home or pets and a lot of hair to vacuum, or if you have kids with playrooms than need to be cleaned every day. Apart from the adequate space to store dirt, I like how the dust bin on the AR282BLDC doesn’t look out of place. It’s perfectly placed to blend with the other parts of the vacuum.
Lightweight Construction
Weighing a mere 3 lbs, the Alfawise AR182BLDC is so light that almost anyone can use it. The lightweight nature also means longer cleaning time without feeling fatigued, which useful when cleaning with the handheld version. Besides being light, the vacuum comes with a well-designed handle that you can use when up you have to move it from one room to another.

Main assembly
Removable Battery
For a cordless vac, this is one of the most useful features. A removable battery allows you to extend the runtime of the vacuum to a level that matches the size of your home. It frees you from the limited cleaning time of cordless vacs- one of the reasons why some homeowners would prefer the corded types. With an additional battery, you can have the Alfawise cordless vacuum clean for more than 1 hour non-stop.
Usability
The Alfawise AR182BLDC takes no time to assemble. With only a few parts and controls, the vacuum is also easy to operate. There are only two cleaning modes to use – low and high. To change cleaning settings, you only need to press a button on the handle. Next to the cleaning mode switch is the power on/off button. Apart from the easy-to-access buttons, the handle offers a comfortable grip that prevents wrist fatigue.
Guiding the Alfawise AR182BLDC around shouldn’t present any difficulty. The powerhead features a swivel joint and moves in different directions. To clean under furniture, the joint on the nozzle also allows you to bend the vacuum flat. A row of LED lamps on the floor head helps you to see the cleaning path.
Although the Alfawise AR182BLDC uses different brushes, that shouldn’t cause you any worry. They are a breeze to swap. The hand vacuum is also effortless to detach and mount back. With this level of usability, you will look forward to vacuuming activities, seeing that you won’t end up feeling exhausted or numbing the hands.
After cleaning or if the bin fills up, disposing of the dirt should take you little time. That’s because the dust compartment instantly opens when you detach a plastic hook. It opens down downwards too, and you do not need to remove any dirt using your hand. Once you’ve emptied the dust cup and cleaned the cleanable parts, the next step involves finding a place to store the vacuum.
The Alfawise AR182BLDC comes with a wall a bracket where you can hang the vacuum and for safe and convenient storage. Unfortunately, the wall-mounted rack doesn’t also charge the battery (you’ll have to install it yourself), but maybe we’ll see this in Alfawise’s next cordless endeavor, the FJ-166A.

Wall mount and onboard holder
Generally, I find the vacuum entirely usable, with no complicated features or parts that would require you to consult the user guide.
