The Dirt Devil Vibe 3-In-1 is a compact, lightweight, budget-friendly stick vacuum cleaner best suited for cleaning small areas at a time, so this vacuum could be useful to many different kinds of people.
For example:
- College students in dorms or small apartments
- Anyone who lives in relatively small quarters or has a small area to sweep/vacuum
- People who hate sweeping—we totally get it, we hate sweeping too
- Someone who is not prepared to make the monetary investment into a full-size vacuum cleaner
- Anyone who cannot lift or push around the heavyweight of a full-size vacuum cleaner
- Someone who wants to be fiscally responsible and purchase one item that vacuums and sweeps instead of buying both a broom and a vacuum
The Dirt Devil Vibe 3-In-1 does require some assembly with a screwdriver. If you are not the handiest of people, perhaps enlist the help of your handiest friend to finish putting it together once you have it out of the box.
What We Like About The Dirt Devil Vibe 3-In-1 Bagless Stick Vacuum
Vacuuming Under Furniture
The handle of this vacuum will lay down flat on the floor, allowing you to vacuum under beds or other furniture that has about 6 inches of clearance for the Dirt Devil Vibe to slide under—no more moving beds and other furniture just to vacuum underneath them!
Many full-size vacuum cleaners will lay flat and clean under beds and furniture. Still, they can only go so many inches under because the vacuum body’s height stops the vacuum from advancing further underneath the piece of furniture.
The Dirt Devil Vibe is different. It only needs 6 inches of clearance to slide the entire body of the vacuum underneath a piece of furniture, so it can vacuum deep under a bed or dresser in a way that a full-size vacuum cannot.
It’s Great for Pet Fur
On the high power setting, the Dirt Devil Vibe 3-In-1 is fantastic at vacuuming up pet fur, even on carpeted floors and area rugs! If you have a pet that’s a heavy shedder and none of your other vacuums could handle all the fur, the Dirt Devil Vibe is the vacuum for the job.
You’ll have to keep emptying the tiny dirt cup as you are cleaning. Remember, it only has a capacity of about 1.7 US cups. We don’t know about your pets, but we’ve had dogs that easily shed fur that could fill gallon-sized jugs.
The Detachable Hand Vac is Perfect for Little Jobs
We could go on and on for days about how useful the detachable hand vac is. You can use it for so many little odd jobs around your house that would otherwise be incredibly cumbersome with a full-size upright vacuum cleaner.
We already mentioned using it to clean stairs and cobwebs, but you can also use it to clean blinds, drapes, upholstery, vacuum around baseboards and in corners, clean the dust out of vents, vacuum inside your winter shoes that have been in storage all summer to make sure there are no spiders in them—like we said, we could go on about the uses of this handy little tool all day, but you have other things to do on your agenda so we’ll move on.
What We Don’t Like About The Dirt Devil Vibe 3-In-1 Bagless Stick Vacuum
Limited Warranty
The manufacturer warranty on the Dirt Devil Vibe 3-In-1 is only one year, and it explicitly excludes belts, brushes, filters, bulbs, and fans. It seems like the only thing the warranty does cover is the motor, which is the component that’s least likely to malfunction or break down within a year.
Hard to Find Filters
The filter for the Dirt Devil Vibe 3-In-1 is washable. Still, undoubtedly there will come a time when you need to replace the filter. You’ll find that it’s nearly impossible to find replacement filters—even on the Dirt Devil website.
Your best bet is to really take care of the filter that comes with the vacuum so that you don’t need a replacement filter for a long, long time. Rinse it well after each heavy use. Soak it from time to time to get it super clean. Care for it like it’s the only one you have because it might be.
It’s Not Great for Cat Litter
Many people purchase the Dirt Devil Vibe 3-In-1 for pet-related purposes. While this vacuum is excellent for pet hair, it’s not so great for picking up cat litter.
We’re certainly not scientists, but we think the kitty litter particles are too large and heavy for the suction of this lightweight vacuum cleaner. You may have to pull out something a little more heavy-duty to clean up around the litter box.
Inconsistent Performance
The Dirt Devil Vibe 3-In-1 has excellent reviews on every platform where it’s sold. However, there are reports of a small percentage of the vacuums not performing to the same capacity as those owned by people giving 5-star ratings and raving about how much they love the vacuum.
These are the types of manufacturer errors that are covered under the one-year limited warranty. Still, it is quite an inconvenience to send an appliance as large as a vacuum out for repairs, even if the repairs are 100% covered.

What’s Included?
All of the vacuum parts come in the package with the vacuum; you don’t have to order any parts separately. You do have to assemble it with a screwdriver. Still, you will receive a complete vacuum that’s ready to use once you put it together.
What’s not included is a hose attachment. This may be small potatoes since it does have the detachable hand vac. However, it’s fair to assume that most people expect vacuums to have hoses, so we wanted to note that this one does not.

The Vibe 3-In-1 might be small in size, but Dirt Devil packed every square inch with features to make vacuuming easier and more convenient so you can spend less time cleaning and get back to doing the fun things you like to do.
Hand Vac
The neck and nozzle detach from the vacuum’s body with just a snap and becomes a hand vac if you need to really get into some detailed areas like stairs or corners—or those cobwebs you’ve been allowed to collect on the ceiling.
Easy Empty Dirt Cup
The Dirt Devil Vibe 3-In-1 has an Easy Empty Dirt Cup rather than a vacuum bag. A bagless vacuum is beneficial for several reasons.
First, replacement vacuum bags can be hard to find, they’re often expensive, and they’re bad for the environment. Beyond that, the process of replacing a vacuum bag is dusty and messy, and you often end up creating another mess that you have to vacuum up.
The Easy Empty Dirt Cup is clear, high-quality plastic; you can see right through it and therefore know when it’s getting full. Emptying it is as simple as removing it from the vacuum and dumping the debris in the trash. Replace the Easy Empty Dirt Cup after you’ve emptied it and you’re ready to get back to vacuuming.
The capacity of the Easy Empty Dirt Cup is 0.4 Liters, which equals about 1.7 US cups.
On/Off Brushroll
The On/Off Brushroll is what gives the Dirt Devil Vibe 3-In-1 its ability to transition from hard to carpeted floors.
Turn the brush roll on when vacuuming carpeted floors to grip onto the carpet fibers and extract debris from deep down in the carpet. Turn the brush roll off when vacuuming hard surface floors to function more like a sweeping vacuum, sucking up all the debris without the use of a broom and dustpan.
This upright stick vacuum also comes equipped with scatter guard technology when used in bare floor mode or with brushroll off. There’s a squeegee behind the brush roll that performs anti-scatter functions. This squeegee ensures debris gets sucked up into the vacuum rather than strewn about all over your floor.
10-Inch Nozzle
The cleaning path of the Dirt Devil Vibe 3-In-1 is 10 inches, which is the perfect width to cover enough cleaning space without being too large to be agile and get into small spaces.
Lightweight Design
Upon shipping, the package is around 5 pounds. However, out of the box and fully assembled, the Dirt Devil Vibe 3-In-1 weighs just 3.4 pounds. It’s super-lightweight, so anyone can easily use this vacuum to clean up around their home without any straining or backaches.
With a vacuum this light, you will have no problem carrying it up and down the stairs, lifting it over the coffee table, or taking it anywhere else you need it to go. It weighs almost nothing.

First, the Dirt Devil Vibe’s motor is warrantied by the manufacturer for just one year. This vacuum is not dual voltage; it is a 120 Volt appliance. The motor is 240 Watts and 2 Amps.
