Here my video review for the Lefant T700:
Specifications
Suction/Cleaning Power
At its highest cleaning mode, the Lefant brags that the T700 reaches a suction of 1800 Pa. I’ve tested the robot on the highest level and it’s not even close to this number. I would estimate the suction to be somewhere in the 1000-1200 Pa zone. However, this level of cleaning power allows the robot to pick up most of the dirt and debris without difficulty. 2 side brushes assist the robot’s vacuuming action. These spin at high speeds and sweep debris towards the middle for easy pickup. It also comes with the usual brush roll that helps to remove dirt from both hard and carpet floors.
The Lefant doesn’t only vacuum, it’s also a mop. For the mopping function, it comes with a 10 oz (285 ml) water reservoir and a microfiber pad. A squeegee compartment, too, that replaces the brush roll for the mopping tasks. The mopping action is efficient enough for a robot, and you may only need to follow it up with weekly cleanups. That’s, if your home isn’t high traffic and there aren’t many spills or messes to take care of.

Battery Power
A 2600 mAh battery powers the Lefant robot. The runtime that this battery achieves is long enough for normal cleaning activities. It operates the robot for 120 minutes, which is more than the average for most robotic vacuum cleaners. To ensure the battery last for this time-length, you would need to avoid using the highest suction mode which drains the battery quicker than the standard one. The battery takes between 4.5 and 5 hours to attain full charge. The vacuum comes with its own charging station where it docks automatically whenever it’s time to recharge.

Dust Capacity
The dust bin of the Lefant T700 is large enough to allow uninterrupted vacuuming. It has a capacity for 20 oz (600 ml) of dirt. That means fewer tasks to empty its contents, especially if your home is mostly clean. Because the robot also mops, it’s only fair that we talk about its water tank too. The reservoir can hold the 10 oz of cleaning water. That water amount is adequate to mop large rooms before the tank requires to be refilled. The mopping cloth on the T700 is large enough to clean large areas within a short time. However, you would need to factor in the limited abilities of such small gadgets. Overall, the mop does an excellent job on hard floors.
Filtration
You do not need to worry about allergens when vacuum works to clean your home. It comes with HEPA filtration that ensures no allergens escape the unit. The primary filter traps particles as tiny as 3 microns. That size is well in the range of allergens such as pollen, dust mites, and mold spores. With that level of filtration, the robot is a safe gadget if anyone in your family is prone to any allergy. The manufacturer provides an extra filter on purchasing this vacuum.
Weight and Dimensions
The Lefant T700 isn’t a large gadget. It doesn’t weigh much either. Its weight is 6 pounds and the dimensions are 12.6×12.6×3.2 inches. That means the unit is easy to store and move around. Although it’s pretty tall at 3.2 inches, the size of the robot allows it to remove dirt from the spaces under furniture and other tight spots without difficulty.
Warranty
Lefant offers a 12-month limited warranty for this product.

Special Features
The Lefant T700 comes with various features to enhance its cleaning ability. They include:
App Control
Theoretically, you can operate the robot remotely, using your phone. The unit features WiFi connectivity and a program that supports the iOS and Android platforms. Using this function, you’re able to schedule cleaning, operate the different cleaning modes, and various other features. The app control supports Android 4.0 version and above, which means it’s unlikely that your phone will be incompatible with the app. Unfortunately, you can’t use voice control on the Lefant app. It doesn’t support that. And as I tested it, the app wouldn’t connect, so I think there’s still some room for improvement here.
2-in-1 – vacuum and mop functions
The Lefant does everything that the floors in your home require: sweeping and mopping. That means you can leave all the cleaning tasks to it and only perform weekly follow-ups. What impresses the most about this robot is that it carries out the two functions better than many other similar 2 in1 vacuums. The suction is powerful enough and the mopping pad decently efficient. Besides that, the vacuuming part of the unit allows for different cleaning speeds. The mopping function, too. That means you have greater control regarding how the Levant T700 cleans your home.

Lefant T700 – configuration for mopping
Being a robotic cleaner, the Lefant T700 works its way around your home independently. And it does that with high accuracy using the “smart” onboard navigation. It’s doesn’t have a laser or a camera sensor, but the odometer and gyroscope are pretty good. We also get infrared anti-drop and anti-collision sensors. These help to detect objects as well as monitor the ground. As a result, this Lefant vacuum avoids obstacles with ease, finds its charging station without your intervention, and senses when there’s the danger of falling down a stair. The robot uses the same level of accuracy to clean out your home. Depending on the mode you have set it to, it will move around autonomously to vacuum or mop every surface in a room.
3-Stage Cleaning Stages
The robot offers you three cleaning options; auto, spot, and edge. With these modes, you can set the robot to clean as per your preferences. Using the “Auto” mode sees the vacuum move programmatically, following a snake-like plan, until every space in a room is cleaned. You use this mode when you want the whole placed cleaned. The “spot” mode sets the vacuum to work around a spot, starting from the center outwards until all the dirt is picked up. This mode is suitable when there’s a messy spot in a room that you want to focus on. The “edge” mode sends the robot to the corners or edges of a room. It then moves along those areas picking up dirt with efficiency.
Compact and Slim Body
When choosing the robot vacuum to buy, one of the features to look out for is its size and height. You need it to be compact enough for storage and low lying so it can clean the unreachable spaces under furniture. The Lefant T700 scores high on those fronts. at 3.2 inches, its clearance height is low enough to allow for the cleaning of spaces underneath beds and other furniture. It’s also small-sized and lightweight, and you can store it almost anywhere in your home.

Other features of the Lefant T700 include:
- The rubberized and threaded wheels that move on carpet without getting stuck. The wheels are also soft on the delicate surfaces such a hardwood flooring and won’t scratch it.
- The pure suction attachment. This cleaning head allows you to pick up hair without worrying about tangles. If you have pets that shed heavily, this attachment would come in handy.
- The squeegee housing. This lets you use the mop function without the standard brush roll. It improves the efficiency of the gadget and allows you to clean different surfaces.
- The brushless motor. It’s what makes this vacuum to run quietly. You need that if you have a toddler, or if you want a gadget that you can use and not disturb the peace in your home.
Usability
The unit doesn’t present any challenge to set up. In just a few minutes, you will have everything in place and a machine that’s ready for its first cleaning tasks. The various parts pop into place in an instant.Make sure you remove the white band before starting it:

Operating the Lefant T700 is equally straightforward. For that, you can opt to use the remote control or the app function. The app should offer more control options and more comfortable operation. Apart from working the various cleaning modes, the features on the app allow you to plan cleaning activities. If you’re a busy person, this functionality is invaluable. Using it, you can schedule tasks some days before, and forget about it. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to make the app work. Here’s what I got:

Token error
The robot features different cleaning modes, and you can use either the physical remote control or the smartphone app for that. If your home isn’t too messy, the “auto” mode would be ideal. The “edge” cleaning mode allows you to vacuum tight spots such as corners, while the “spot” mode allows you to concentrate on a mess for a thorough cleanup.
The Max Suction setting makes the robot to use full motor speed to deliver the most powerful cleaning action. This mode uses a lot of battery power and can lower the expected runtime considerably. You only use it when there’s stubborn dirt or debris to be cleaned. And if you have hair to pick up, you can always use the suction-only attachment.
The bin on the Lefant is easy to take out for emptying. The water tank is also accessible and a breeze to fill. Removing the filter doesn’t take you long, and you can inspect or change it without following many steps. The vacuum doesn’t come with alerts for a full bin or filter change, though, and you have to check them manually. It’s advisable that you change the filters on time. It helps to ensure suction remains at its optimum and that allergens are trapped efficiently.
