Over the last couple of years, besides vacuum cleaners, I’ve been reviewing a bunch of steam cleaners which I deemed appropriate to the purpose of this site. That is why I got my hands on the Bissell PowerFresh and on the Shark Steam & Spray. You see, steaming is sometimes a necessary chore, especially if you want to sanitize tiles and other similar surfaces. The McCulloch MC1375 Canister Steam System is a powerful all-in-one steam cleaner which can be used for multiple purposes. It can assist you in getting rid of dirt, stains, grease, germs, and much more from a variety of different surfaces. Today I will be sharing with you some impressive in-depth information:
- you’ll find out all about the product specs & how it looks like
- I’ll be comparing it with other McCulloch products, as well as with similar units from other brands
- I’ll show you which are its main pros and cons
- I’ll give you a hit from where to get it cheaper
The Looks
Here are some of my best pics of this product:
and here’s a brief video review:
The Specs
Steam/Cleaning Power
The McCulloch MC1375 has a good steam power. With the help of a control knob, you can vary the steam up to a pressure of 4 bar (58 psi). This is enough to penetrate deep into whatever you want to clean. The steam goes as high as 200 F. Although this tool is meant for personal use, it can be even used professionally. Not only is it environmentally safe but it is also an excellent alternative to chemical cleaning. Pet owners should be thrilled using this. Steaming sealed grout removes odors and restores the original look. The MC1375 is powerful enough to eliminate all kinds of dirt from multiple surface types, including dirty floors, ATVs, BBQ grills and patios.
Input Power
Consumes 1500 Watts (runs on 120V). There is no physical battery to worry about. Its power source is fully electric. Takes around 10 minutes to heat up. After that, you can steam continuously for up to 90 minutes.
Water Capacity
The tank can hold 48 oz., which means fewer refills. Simply fill up the water reservoir and within ten minutes, you’re set to go. A measuring cup is used to make sure you’re feeding the appropriate quantity of water to the boiler.
Weight and dimensions
Weights less than 11 lbs. It has been designed for easy carrying, with ergonomic handle holds and casters which increase its mobility. In terms of dimensions, this McCulloch measures 10.5″ x 12.2″ x 15.55″. It is easy to store too. Comes with a 18 ft. power cord. Adding 10 ft. from the steam hose, the total radius allows you to reach further for all those tight places.
Accessories
The packages contains lots of accessories. Actually, there are just a few products which I’ve tested with so many attachments. The package contains (in no particular order):
- an extension wand
- a jet nozzle
- a scrapper tool
- a large brush
- a triangle shaped brush
- a nylon brush
- a brass utility brush
- a bristle brush
- a round brush
- a round scrub pad
- a microfiber mop pad
- a storage bag
- a fill cup
- a mesh net
When it comes to the replacement of some of the parts and accessories for McCulloch MC1375, you can easily do this by ordering directly from their website or from Amazon. Inside the product manual you will find a list of all the accessories in addition to their corresponding numbers. You will need to locate the number of the part which you need to replace.
Steam pads
This product comes with 2 types of steam pads, one for gentle cleaning and one for scrubbing. They are washable and reusable. Take a special precaution with the one destined for scrubbing. Make sure you test it for scratches in a hidden area before you use it.
Special Features
In addition to the variable steam control (you can regulate the amount of steam used), I can list here the lightened on and off switch and the heating indication light.
Usability
It is simple to use. In the less likely event you get stuck with any aspects of usability, the product manual covers absolutely everything that you need to know. The accessories contribute to its versatility. It makes almost no sound, and the length of the power cord coupled with the length of the hose give users plenty of space to maneuver. The slick glossy canister is light and maneuverable.
Warranty
The MC1375 carries a one year limited warranty. As stipulated in the certificate, the device and attachments need to be free from workmanship or any form of moderation or repairs. Provided that you stick to the guidelines and understand the terms and conditions of your warranty, you shouldn’t have any problems with this feature.
Price
The product is not expensive, nor cheap. Check out this offer and let me know you thoughts.

Pros
Many owners mention the reliability of the device as well as how easy it is to use. The multiple accessories make it a very popular choice. Being environmentally friendly is a major plus for almost everyone. The large tank capacity has been praised by consumers, as it allows for large areas to be covered and cleaned. I would add here the cool design, and the fact that you can vary the steam power.
Cons
In terms of the negatives, some may consider the price tag to be too high. Even though the design has been well received, elders may have trouble controlling it. Some even complain about the number of accessories which they consider too high to manage.
Conclusion and VGMst
Overall this device is an excellent choice if you are looking for an efficient multipurpose steamer. Instead of buying different devices for different cleaning jobs, you now have the option to invest in this one device that will help you clean everything. Here is my VGMst:

I would advise against using a power steamer on carpet or wood.
