Vacuuming eliminates dust particles and the larger debris. Unfortunately, it doesn’t remove the “invisible dirt” that consists of bacteria, viruses, and other microorganisms. This kind of “dirt” hides in the fabrics and puts your health and that of loved ones at risk. It could be the cause of various health issues, especially those of the respiratory system. In fact, dust mites and other allergens present on fabric surfaces are what cause all-year-round allergies in many homes. The problem can persist for long if a solution isn’t sought immediately. What could end the menace? Enter the Raycop RN, and you’re assured of surfaces that are free from dirt, pollen, dust mites, bacteria, and viruses. This mattress vacuum both suctions and kills microscopic organisms, disinfecting your home while at the same time making it allergen-free.

Check out my video analysis:
The producer made a few changes to the features and parts of this vacuum with the aim to make the product more effective. And it worked. The new specs are better, making it not only more efficient than the earlier models but also more usable. The brain behind Raycop vacuums is a medical doctor, and you can expect this latest machine to have the best of specs when it comes to the elimination of allergens and different microscopic organisms.
It’s a 300W cleaning machine that features strong suction and a rapidly spinning and pulsating brush. Unlike the earlier models that used separate pads for the vibrations, the RN features rotating brush that also vibrates. That makes it three times more effective at removing hair, dust and other allergens than your conventional vacuum cleaner. The brush makes 18,000 vibrations every minute and produces unrivaled excitation of dirt. In addition to that, the Raycop RN uses an ultraviolet light lamp to kill the microorganisms harbored by the fabrics in your home. According to the manufacturer, the vacuum achieves the following levels of efficiency when being used to clean various fabric surfaces:
- 99.99% elimination of bacteria after 10 seconds of cleaning
- 99.99% elimination of viruses after only 5 seconds
- 99.5% pollen elimination after 60 seconds, and
- 90% removal of dust after 3 minutes of cleaning
These dirt and microorganism removal rates are achieved by a combination of features and functionalities. They include the powerful suction, the high-spin pulsating brush, and the UV light. The excellent filtration serves to ensure the dust, pollen, and dust mites remain trapped in the unit. The result is allergen free fabrics and clean air in your home.
The Raycop RN is a corded cleaning device that plugs into a 120V 60Hz outlet. It consumes 300 watts with the UV lamp requiring 6 watts. With the is amount if power, the vacuum can achieve an impressive level of suction. The unit is compact, and air doesn’t have a long distance to travel which allows the manufacturer to optimize the suction power.
The device is mainly designed to clean mattresses, heavy and light bedcovers, pillows, cushions, and various other fabrics items. These surfaces do not normally have a lot of dirt to be picked up. As a result, the Raycop RN features a small dust box that stores the little dust that it suctions up. The bin is reusable after you’ve emptied and washed it which does not frequently occur as there is usually not much dirt to be picked up. The manufacturer recommends frequent emptying and washing of the dust box filter, though, as clogging can cause suction to drop or the unit to overheat and cause other problems.
Weight and Dimensions
The device is lightweight, weighing only 4 pounds. This makes it a vacuuming machine that different members of your family can use. With the low weight and the ergonomically shaped handle, the unit won’t stress you out to wield. It measures 14″ × 11″ × 6″, which is compact enough to allow for both easy use and storage. It’s cleaning path width is 6 inches.
Accessories inside the box include; 1 standard filter, 1 HEPA filter, the motorized brush, UV lamp, and a user guide/manual. As you can see, the Raycop RN is a simple system that doesn’t come with the tools and attachments of the conventional vacuum which serves to increase its usability.
The manufacturer offers a 1-year limited warranty with this product. The guarantee covers defects in the unit including the UV lamp. According to the manufacturer, the limited warranty is only valid if you’re the original owner of the vacuum and for the items bought from authorized resellers.
The manufacturer intended the Raycop RN to protect you from allergies which meant an efficient system to trap the tiniest of allergens. Apart from the ability of the UV lamp to kill microorganisms, the filtration level is excellent. It is a two-step system that consists of a conventional filter for the dust box and a HEPA one for the exhaust hair. The dust box filter ensures hairs and other particles don’t pass through while the exhaust HEPA filter traps 99.99 percent of the allergens picked up in the suction path. With this level of filtration, the Raycop RN is safe to use even if you suffer from asthma or any other type of allergy. What’s more, you never have to worry that the filter will clog up without your knowledge. A mechanism shuts the motor off when the standard filter blocks, while a series of beeps alert you when the exhaust filter gets clogged with dust.
The vacuum is specialized for the cleaning of mattresses and other fabric surfaces. As a result, it only comes with a few features to make dust extraction efficient and for the elimination of different types of microorganisms. The manufacturer seems to have excelled in that, producing a product that performs both functions impressively. The features include;
A Pulsating Brush
The Raycop RN comes with a unique brush to improve efficiency. The brush not only rotates but also pulsates to ensure every bit of dirt is loosened up. It spins at a rate of 3,300 revolutions per minute and vibrates at a frequency of 18,000 times each minute. These rapid movements create agitation that no dust or any other particle can defy. It’s what makes the device more effective at cleaning surfaces and ridding them of allergens than most mattress vacuums on the market.
The fabrics that are in your bedroom and those that cover your couches are breeding grounds for bacteria, viruses, and dust mites. More so your bedding, since we sleep for, on average, 8 hours every day leaving millions of dead cells for these microorganisms to feed on. While vacuuming may remove the dust, it does nothing to eliminate these microscopic organisms. The Raycop RN comes with a lamp that emits UV light to take care of that. As you move the vacuum along the surfaces, the light kills the organisms while the brush and suction pick up dust and dirt.
Apart from various indicators that light up to show features that are in operation, the manufacturer includes safety mechanisms to protect the unit from damage. One of them is protection from the effects of overheating. The motor shuts off automatically if the unit has been running continuously for long and the temperature has risen to a critical level. The motor will also shut off if the dust box filter clogs and causes the unit to heat up. For the exhaust filter, the device produces audible sounds to alert you that the filter needs to be replaced.
The UV lamp is adequately covered to protect you from the UV light rays, with the exposure being restricted only to the area being cleaned. Besides that, the Raycop RN features a mechanism to switch off the lamp whenever it loses contact with the fabric surface. For this, the vacuum utilizes sensors that detect the presence or absence of the surface being cleaned.
It comes with what the producer calls 2-stage filtration, and which consists of two filters; a standard filter for the dustbin and a HEPA one for the air coming out of the unit. HEPA filters are capable of holding back 99.97 percent of allergens and which are as tiny as 0.3 microns. For allergen sufferers, it means safe cleaning activities and no instances of allergy flare-ups. With fabrics being prone to containing tiny allergens such as dust particles and dust mites, it can be risky to clean such surfaces with a vacuum whose filters are not HEPA.
Other features that make the Raycop RN stand out include the lightweight construction and the compact design. The two features have improved its usability and made it a device that’s easy to store. The ergonomic handle is also worth mentioning. It makes using the vacuum for extended periods possible. The strong suction, too, which ensures the efficient extraction of dust and other dirt from the fabrics of bedding and furniture.
The Raycop is a small-sized vacuum that’s also lightweight. On top of that, the handle is designed to be comfortable in your hand. It comes with a single cleaning mode that you can customize to clean different surfaces. Its control buttons are on the top of the handle which makes pressing them easy. Additionally, it comes with a power cord that’s long enough to allow you to clean the various surfaces with ease. Because the vacuum is made to be used on mattresses and fabric surfaces, it doesn’t come with any attachments to enhance usage; only an efficient brush roll and powerful suction to ensure that dirt is properly picked up.
Maintaining the Raycop RN is no hassle. The filters are easily accessible for cleaning. Besides that, you get alerts when they need to be changed. According to the manufacturer, the standard filter can serve for 6 months of regular vacuuming before it requires to be changed. The HEPA filter can go for up to a year trapping allergens efficiently before you need to replace it. Other parts that will require new ones after some time of use include the brush roll which can take up to a year before it requires a new one. The UV lamp, too, will eventually need to be changed but not soon as it can be as long as after two years of use.
Cheaper than other Raycop versions, you can buy this baby for around $200.

Using a conventional vacuums to eliminate dust and messes off fabrics leaves them looking great. But that’s not all there’s to it. Your home contains both the visible and invisible dirt, and it’s the “unseen dirt” consisting of bacteria, viruses, and dust mites that presents the biggest risk. Because you think it’s not there, you’re likely to leave it to accumulate. It results in high levels of the microorganisms which can cause health issues. One of the ways to ensure no “invisible dirt” plagues your home would be to find a vacuum that sucks and kills the microorganisms. The Raycop RN does both and with a high level of effectiveness. It’s one of the best mattress vacuums you can purchase to ensure the fabrics in your home are clean and that your loved ones are protected from allergens and harmful microscopic organisms. In addition to being efficient, it’s a highly usable vacuum that makes cleaning your mattresses, cushions, pillows, bed covers and couches effortless.
