Here are the full specs:
Specifications
Cleaning power | The product delivers excellent steam power in three different settings: Lo for regular dusting, Medium for daily mopping, and Hi for comprehensive cleaning. The mop is also designed to emit concentrated high pressure steam when there is a need to thoroughly clean stubborn stains. You can use this function by simply pushing the Head Release Button which releases the mop head to deliver required level of steam. To help you understand how to efficiently use these three settings, here is some information you should be aware of:
|
Input power | Needs 120V of input power, and consumes around 1000W, numbers which make this mop more efficient than many other models on the market. |
Tank capacity | The water tank capacity is 550 ml. or 18 oz., which provides enough water for cleaning or steaming your floor fully and thoroughly. |
Steam pads | You'll get 4 pads:
|
Weight and Dimensions | The product weighs about 7 lbs, and its dimensions are 12.2 x 8.3 x 46.9 inches. With this weight, the mop can be easily moved around your home for efficient cleaning. |
Warranty | This steam pocket mop comes with a one year limited warranty provided by Euro-Pro. If you happen to find a defect in the workmanship or material of the product, the company will replace or repair it absolutely free of charge (but you will pay shipping). Things change if you purchase it from Amazon or directly from Shark official website, were you can get a 5 year VIP warranty for a small extra fee. |
Accessories | Aside for the pads, the box includes:
|
Special features | The product’s water filtration system has the ability to reduce around 80% of hardness from water, getting rid of all the calcifying and lime compounds that infect steam mops over time. However, I recommend you to use distilled water. In addition to the Electronic Intelligent Steam Control feature that we discussed earlier, the product also features the new High pressure Blast & Scrub Technology and some amazing 2 sided pads. |
Usability | Shark steam pocket mop is fairly easy to use. Its durable construction and light weight make handling extremely effortless. The cleaning pads are reversible and offer better cleaning potential. Also, the pads can be washed and reused, which reduces the cost of having to buy additional pads. The controls and settings are also designed for easy usage. The head swivels effortlessly, and the 25 ft power cord allows you to reach more places without changing the power outlet. The product has been receiving quite a lot of thumbs up and positive reviews from customers. Most individuals who have tried using the mop seem to love its ability to leave behind cleaner and sanitized floors. However, there are also some users who are not completely satisfied with the product. When the complaints are closely analyzed, it can be found that most of the issues are user-related. One of the major causes of problem is that many people fail to use the right setting for the specific type of floor they clean, which prevents the mop from delivering desired results. Therefore, when you use this mop, make sure you read the manual completely and choose the right setting for the type of floor you clean and the type of mess you are trying to get rid of. |
Price | It's a bit expensive for a steam mop (costs even more than the Bissell Powerfresh), but given the facts above and considering this amazing deal, I believe it's worth it. |
Overall, the Blast & Scrub will be a great addition to your home, and will help you maintain your bare floors clean and neat. Hence, this would be a great product to take into consideration, especially if you have little ones crawling or running around.
Shark 2-in-1 Blast & Scrub Steam Pocket Mop (S4701)
As the name suggests, the Shark 2-in-1 Blast & Scrum Steam Pocket Mop is basically a sanitizing steam mop that can easily and swiftly transform into a highly powerful handheld steamer or steam blast scrubber. This 2-in-1 mop is powerful, fast, and completely user friendly. Similar to the previous model, this unit also comes with an Electronic Intelligent Steam Control that carries three settings to provide you with complete control in choosing the level of steam required.
Specifications
Cleaning power | This version of the product also offers outstanding steam power in three different settings. The Lo setting can be used for regular dusting, Hi for comprehensive cleaning, and the third setting is called the ACCESSORY, which you will be able to use when the mop is converted into a handheld steamer. The third setting is automatic, meaning that it turns on automatically when the mop is turned into a handheld. This setting is ideal for sealed above-floor hard surfaces, and is helpful in cleaning or dusting adjacent areas. One thing a client asked me, if he can use this as a clothes steamer. The answer is no, the steam created for sanitizing things is a bit more powerful than what you need for soft fabrics. |
Input power | This product uses the same input power as that of the standard unit, and performs its functions equally well. |
Tank capacity | The capacity of the water tank in this model is slightly lower than that of the other version. This mop comes with a tank of capacity 410 ml. or 13 oz. However, the amount of water should be enough to perform steaming or cleaning across different parts of your home. |
Steam pads | You'll get a bit more pads than the standard version:
|
Weight and Dimensions | The Shark 2-in-1 steam pocket mop also weights around 7 pounds, which is reasonable, in fact light, for a 2-in-1 product. Its dimensions are 12.2 x 8.3 x 46.9 inches. Altogether, the mop is easy to lift and handle, whether it is used in full mode or as a handheld. |
Warranty | Similar to the previous steam mop version, this mop is also offered a one year limited warranty by Euro-Pro. If you happen to find a defect in the workmanship or material of the product, the company will replace or repair it absolutely free of charge, provided that you will pay shipping costs. |
Accessories | Accessories include: As you can see, this model has some additional parts that aren’t available with the previous one, as it is obvious that this is designed to perform two different functions. |
Special features | Besides being a 2-in-1, this unit also comes with the high pressure Blast & Scrub tech. |
Usability | The Shark 2-in-1 mop is good for both light as well as heavy duty cleanups. The steam mop heats up fairly quickly and emits plenty of steam, enough to clean even the toughest of stains on different surfaces. Also has a swivel nozzle, and about the same 25 ft. power cord length. Due to its light weight, the mop is quite easy to be carried around, and when it transforms into a handheld steamer, it performs an excellent job of cleaning almost all above-floor surfaces. The cleaning pads in this model also have two different sides to use, thus providing twice the cleaning outcome. Flipping the pad is also extremely easy. The pads are easy to be removed, washed, and reused as well. |
Price | It costs a bit more than the standard Blast & Scrub Pocket mop, but I can help you with your search for a good deal. |
The product is new to the market, I’ll give you that. Taking into account different features and specifications, it seems to be one of the most reliable options you can find. And with the fact that it is offered by a leading home-care products manufacturing company, we expect it to be of top quality, delivering outstanding performance. It wouldn’t be a surprise if people start to love this product once they get their hands on it, just like it happened with its older brother, the Steam Pocket Mop.
From what we came across in the product manual and FAQs, there are some downfalls with the product. There is a possibility that the pocket pad gets dirty quickly, and furthermore, the may get permanently damaged if you wash them with detergent. Also, if you need to clean a very tough stain, you might have to perform some traditional hand scrubbing before actually using the mop. Finally, the above-floor accessories cannot be used on fabrics and soft surfaces.
On the whole, there aren’t many 2-in-1 steam mops available in the market. Therefore, this unique model from Shark can help you greatly with cleaning your home, and for the price at which it is offered, this definitely looks like a worthy investment.
Conclusion
As final words, sanitizing and deep cleaning has never been this easier. 10-15 years ago, most of you wouldn’t even image using a tool like this. Now, you no longer have to get on your hands and knees or use a manual mop to clean and scrub your floors. These two products offer the best of all features and more. Here’s the VGMst (VacuumsGuide.com Mark for steam mops) for both units:
Last but not least, I would like to wish you all a “Happy New Year” and to invite you to leave any feedback or questions on these steam mops in the form bellow.

Happy New Year to you too Mr. Jason,
I recently bought the 2-in-1 Blast & Scrub, only because the Shark Sonic Duo was out of stock at B.,B., & Beyond and I had to clean my mom’s floors for Christmas.
Yet, this 2-in-1 still sits in her opened box, in my hallway, for I still have not used her.
The reason?… Over all, too complicated; so many accesories, and the manual/instructions, so unclear…ish.
Plus,I couldn’t find a decent review up until now, (thank you).
With all the attachments, nor no creditable review, manual being so complex and not clear as to attachment usages/specifics i.e., can you clean glass?
I opted out & waited for my/the Sonic Duo. Which I love, but have a couple issues, which I’ll go over on your Sonic Duo post page. (I use it together w/Shark® Rotator® Powered Lift-Away® Vacuum( huge fan, btw))
Now, that I have Sonic Duo, I wonder what’s the point of having both or all 3 Shark machines, if you will?
Duo does both Carpet & floors, apparently is safer to use on hard floors then the Shark 2-in-1 Blast & Scrub, and the, Rotator® Powered Lift-Away® Vacuum…well, don’t even get me started on that lil’ power-house of a machine .
So to conclude, I only see myself using the Shark 2-in-1, Blast & Scrub Steam Pocket mop in my/a bathroom.
Which I will do before I decide to return Shark’s newest steam mop combo.

HI just bought the new Shark Blast & Steam Pocket Mop from Bed Bath & Beyond it was $149.99 with my 20% off coupon it was $127. I’m finding a hard time to buy xx pads that fit. Any suggestions? I had all the Shark products when they first came out and “Love them”. I do Home Staging & Residential Cleaning so convenient.
Jason Roberts says
You can get them from Shark’s website at $8.95 or from Amazon at cheaper rates. Just make sure they fit the S4601/S4701 models.

Confused . I have been reading that steam cleaners are effective to use on couches (soft fabric) so why wouldn’t the 2 and 1 steamer work?
Jason Roberts says
I mainly stated what the manufacturer is saying. According to SharkClean.com, the above-floor accessories are designed to be used only on hard surfaces. I think they are imposing this reference to protect you from destroying sensitive fabric, soft rubberized pieces and waxed surfaces. In my opinion, the 2-in-1 can be used without a problem on couches made from soft materials, as long as these are heat resistant and provided that you can dry them fast. Retaining humidity will encourage mold growth which will deteriorate them over time.

I just purchased the blast and scrub and it
Makes a vibrating sound and vibrates a little is that normal?
Jason Roberts says
I’m not sure what “a little” means to you. I’m using at the moment a Shark Press and Refresh, and it also make a barely noticeable vibration. It’s just the way how the device works.
