It's been a while since I reviewed the last cordless, so I'm happy to jump right to the problem with another great unit: the AirRam from Gtech. Although its a 2012 model, it's still in the top of consumer preferences. Why? Spoilers alert: this vacuum cleaner delivers everything you'd expect from a high-performance upright - powerful suction, maneuverability, and ease of use on all types of surfaces. And it does it without a cord or a bag. The ultra-low profile allows you to reach well under furniture. It swivels slightly when needed (about 28 degrees). And the batteries last very long: 40 minutes of continuous use. If I managed to intrigue … [Read more...]
Dyson V6 mattress – dust mites no more
Throughout their history, humans have developed different tools for different purposes. Home cleaning equipments have diversified enormous in the last 10-15 years. While the majority are new inventions, there are also others that come as an improvement to earlier versions. Dyson has a long history in producing units that strive to eliminate allergens and dust mites. Their Allergy models have recently been improved with the Cinetic technology. But things have evolved even further. The latest cordless, Dyson V6, has a separate version called the V6 Mattress, which comes as a special handheld device that can be used to vacuum mats, pillows, … [Read more...]
Bissell PowerClean Multi Cyclonic upright – on the verge of reaching mid-level consumers
Bissell is a great industry player which I like, especially for their low prices and their quality products. I while ago, I was talking about their most expensive upright, the Anna model, but today I'll be tackling a more sturdy option, which is the Bissell PowerClean Multi Cyclonic. Now, if you didn't know, this unit evolved from the older Healthy Home 16N5 (16N5F, 16N5T, 16N54). The PowerClean gamma itself has several models, starting with the one I analyze today, continuing with the PowerClean Rewind 62X5 and ending with the PowerClean OnePass 35831 which is also the cheapest. Don't worry, I'll compare these to see what 16N59 brings to the … [Read more...]
Shark Steam & Spray Pro – the review of the newest steam mop in town
If you remember, several months ago I was talking about the Shark Steam Pocket mop, a lovely appliance designed for those who need fast yet thorough cleans. Shark has recently improved their offer with some new models: the SS460 and the SS460D Steam & Spray Pro units. They complete the Steam & Spray line, together with the SK460, the SK435 and the SK410. Before I begin this review, I would like to add that although I received this product for free (by courtesy of SharkClean.com), the views are absolutely mine, I'm still being impartial and the recommendation and VGM are still not influenced by anybody. So here's what you'll find out … [Read more...]
Miele Complete C3 – the ultimate performance in today’s canisters
Until today, I haven't really tackled the canister vacuum cleaners segment. There are a few reasons to that and I'm not going to get into details, suffice to say that today I'm considering myself ready to talk about the Complete C3 models from Miele. Miele is an interesting brand. If you remember, a while ago I reviewed the Dynamic U1 upright from the very same manufacturer, and boy was I thrilled. But now we're talking about another fish in the sea. The Complete C3 line targets high-end buyers. The C3 canisters must be the flagship of Miele, as only canister vacuum cleaners are sold in Europe, Miele's place of birth. There are 9 models in … [Read more...]
Roomba 880 – reviewing iRobot’s 6th generation of vacuum cleaning robots
Since we're still in 2015, I'm still going to talk about robot vacuum cleaners, which are supposed to sell like the best next gadget after smartphones, starting with 2018. One of the companies renowned in this industry field is iRobot, a 15 years old entity which produces at the moment not only home robots, but also business and even security & defense robots. The innovative iRobot Roomba 880 is a dedicated robotic vacuum cleaner that has been designed with their latest technology, developed over 6 generations of robovacs. If you'll ask me, the best feature of the product is that it has a small size, that makes it easy to move around the … [Read more...]
What to expect from the new Neato Botvac D Series (D85 / D80 / D75)
I've only recently considered reviewing robot vacuums, but times are changing and many studies show the consumer market will explode for these devices after 2018. Having launched its popular Botvac series of robot vacuum cleaners a little over a year ago, Neato has decided to both upgrade and expand its product category. The result is launch of 3 new products under the D series, namely, D85, D80, and D75. In particular, the dual toned D85 is now the flagship brand for the company, taking the mantle from still existing 2014 Botvac 85 model. Now, the products are new and will be launched in July, but I still managed to get a good grip on what's … [Read more...]

Everything You Need to Know About the Bissell ProHeat 2X Premier Carpet Cleaner
I'm back with a review of a price-competitive carpet cleaner from Bissell: the ProHeat 2X Premier. Anyone who has carpets knows exactly what kind of dirt they can accumulate with time. Pets are one of the factors, but they are not the only ones who build up the debris. Others include heavy traffic, the outside environment, and even the type of carpet. Vacuums have to work overtime just to remove pet hair that has been embedded into carpets and rugs. This wears them out, which in term requires frequent replacements, especially if you are using a model not built for heavy duty asks. I've covered a while ago the main carpet cleaning techniques, … [Read more...]
