Finally, a subject that will be very much appreciated by my 2 daughters: toys. If there is anything that kids love most, then it is role play. Children will always pretend as though they are handling some of the basic chores in the house, the exact ones that their parents handle. Right from cleaning the house to laundry and cooking, they will always find something to keep them busy. In this age and time, parents like you and me should smile at this attempt and facilitate their kids in every way possible to ensure that they develop intellectually. One way through which such children can be facilitated is by giving them such appliances as miniature vacuum cleaners. These have been made specially for the kids to handle some of the light cleaning chores at home. While most people downplay the role played by these toys, some are small appliances but can actually handle some of the biggest messes around the house (if we think long term).
Little Henry children’s Toy Vacuum cleaner
This is a complete replica of the multipurpose vacuum cleaner that most people love. Simple in design and heavy in technological input, it is one appliance that will keep your little ones occupied for hours. It comes with a brush and dustpan which can be stored conveniently within the system. Besides, it never misses a reel in the chord which looks exactly the same as the real appliance. Just like most vacuum cleaners, this toy is fitted with a T-shaped nozzle as well as a hose to ensure that the kid is capable of reaching an extended cleaning surface just like the parents. Besides these usual features, the little ones will also benefit from the following:
- a lightweight design
- a reasonable height of 25.5 cm
- a temporary discounted price of $57.69
However, this is an appliance specially made for children above 3 years. Even so, it must be used under the strict supervision of an adult to ensure their safety. The toy also comes with a lion mark, which has always been a symbol of safety. This implies that the toy has been tested and found compliant with the highest safety standards and is therefore suitable for children within the stated age bracket. A number of kids will dread using this appliance from the onset because they fear it will produce excessive noise but with time, they get used because in fact, it does not produce as much noise as you wound think (certainly less then 55-60 db). It is easy to push around and convenient for both boys and girls.
Due to the bright colors which give this appliance the magnificent finish that it boasts of, visual stimulation will not be a big deal. It encourages the development of eye-to-hand coordination in children. With the true life sounds of a vacuum cleaner, your children will surely benefit from aural stimulation as well.
Dyson Ball toy vacuum
The toy doesn’t resemble closely with the latest Ball model, but with an older version. However, it comes complete with the suction and twist action just like the real Dyson Ball vacuum cleaner. It has a simulated cyclone action, topped with colorful balls which move inside the cylinder to make it more attractive for the kid. Coming with a removable dustbin and the real sounds of a Dyson Ball vacuum cleaner, you will not realize that it is a toy unless told. The empty dustbin feature at the back of this appliance is functional, which means that it has enough suction power to handle some of the light cleaning jobs that a child can actually manage.
- it uses 4 C batteries
- a removable debris holder which is located at the back
- it twists and turns like the real vacuum cleaner
- it has some working suction as well as cyclone action
From 3 years and above, this vacuum cleaner can suit any child who lies within this age bracket. It helps these children build coordination as they push it around and besides, they can help their parents and caregivers to clean up the messes after playing. Going at an affordable price of $24.99, you will find very few of these in stock because of the high demand. It has been designed to pick up little pieces of paper as well as poly beads. It is also fitted with touch-sensitive buttons at the handle, enabling the young ones to turn on the suction motor with ease. It is one easy toy to push around, which helps the children in developing motor and problem solving skills which are essential in life. It is ideal for both boys and girls, making it very convenient especially for a parent who has children of both sexes.
Bosch children’s vacuum cleaner
This is one of the coolest battery-powered vacuum cleaners that you will ever get for the little ones. It makes the exact sounds that the caregiver’s vacuum cleaner produces but has the precise functions that are ideal for the child. It make use of 3 C batteries, but these are not included in the initial package and must therefore be bought separately especially when you want your kid to get going immediately after purchase.
Just like the rest, this toy is ideal for children above 3 years and should be used under parental supervision only. Dimensions and aspect:
- 18 cm length
- 22 cm width
- 40 cm height
- removable dust compartment
The plastic material that is used to make this appliance is not only attractive but also durable and safe for the child. It is an easy machine to take care of because all it requires is a little wiping using a damp piece of cloth. It has some cleaning power just like the conventional vacuum cleaner. Although its motor and suction power are a bit lower, the toy can be used to remove some of the light particles from the surface. Letting the child move ahead of you as you clean the floor will certainly turn out to be beneficial because some of the particles would have been removed by this toy.
The toy has a simulation of all the housekeeping accessories that you would expect to find in a highly functional vacuum cleaner and will therefore give your children the easiest time because they will only be observing and doing what the caregiver does. Going for an average price of , this is not too much to part with, given the kind of advantages that it holds for your young ones.
Minnie Mouse Toy Vacuum Cleaner
The appliance looks much like a toy perhaps because of the fancy colors but it is one of the little things that will move your child to assist with the cleaning job. It is specifically meant for girls, a reason why you will get it in colors that are rather feminine. It makes the cleaning job fun and easy for your child. As the little girl plays around the house with this toy, it continuously lights the way as the pretty pearly beads also whirl and swirl in the canister.
Sounding like the real vacuum, there is a major advantage because it is manufactured under the brand name Dyson, one of the most trusted vacuum cleaner producers and is therefore a quality toy. It is mostly found in purple and pink colors and can be remembered for the adorable bow which is conveniently located above the dirt collector. It should be used by girls who have hit the age of 3 and above. It requires 3 AA batteries to function, but these too are included in the package. Available at an average price of Price not available, it weighs 3 pounds and is therefore the lightest toy that you ever grace your girls with.
Just like home Dyson Ball Vacuum cleaner
Dyson seems to have established itself in the world of conventional as well as toy vacuum cleaners because this is yet another excellent toy for the children. It is such a simple miniature vacuum but it allows the little kids to handle the big messes that even adults dread. It is super-slim in shape but surprisingly performs in a way that is awfully similar to the actual vacuum cleaner.
Immediately it is turned on, your child will be kept occupied, thanks to the suction power and cyclone action that makes it so real. Other features include:
- a small package weight of only 2.5 lbs
- It is made of plastic materials
- soft beads are included in the clear canister to simulate the cyclone action
It also comes with a debris box which easily pops up and will therefore be easy to empty. Simulating different locations such as groceries and kitchens as the child cleans, he or she will turn out to be the best chef or celebrity because of the realism that it carries. It also stands out as one of the cheapest vacuum cleaner toys that you will acquire because from as little as $44.97, you will get this set.
Like other vacuum cleaner toys, it is designed for use by children above 3 years and besides, ensure you are around to supervise its use. From all these features, you child will benefit in the following ways:
- creative development
- imaginative play
- motor development
- eye-to-hand coordination
Some of its merits include:
- it is very easy to assemble
- it is highly durable
- it is attractive and will treat the child to lots of functionality
Miele toy vacuum cleaner
Termed as an exact replica of most Miele vacuum cleaner appliances, this toy comes with various features such as hoses, wands and floor tools. It is a unique vacuum cleaner toy that will be accompanied with a cloth dust bag, a rug tool and all the features that are necessary in boosting the functionality of a real vacuum cleaner. It is particularly helpful to kids who have developed the fear of vacuum cleaners. Besides, it plays a crucial role of teaching the children how necessary it is to maintain high standards of hygiene in the house.
However, you must be warned in advance that the toy will not offer the same level of effectiveness and functionality as the real Miele vacuum cleaners (bummers!). Regardless of the fact that it contains most of the features in a simulated form, this is only a toy which should help your child move along as they acquire some of the very basic skills. The product includes features such as:
- real power buttons
- two-stage level suction controls
- it uses 4˟C batteries but these are not included and must therefore be purchased separately
- A detachable cloth dust bag
- it has wheels which can move in various directions
- the main nozzle can conveniently fit into the rear end of this appliance
- the on/off controls as well as other features are child-friendly.
- It weighs 4.2 pounds, and is consequently easy to push around
Retailing at $46.04, you perhaps understand that this cost is commensurate to the kind of services that it will offer. The appliance is meant for children above three years, where it will be used to clean some of the light pieces of debris such as papers.
Dirt Devil Junior Lights Sounds Toy Vacuum Cleaner
Your children will get tons of fun in playing with this toy, an upright vacuum cleaner which is endowed with the realistic vacuum cleaner sound as well as lights. It is meant for children above 2 years, but should be used under supervision. Designed to make use of 3 AA batteries, these are included in the package, which implies that you pay extra.
It is a scaled-down Dirt Devil vacuum cleaner, which not only serves to entertainment purposes but also does some light cleaning on the floor. It is one of the lightest plastic vacuum cleaner toys that you will come across, but with special features such as the pivoting handle as well as wheels which are meant to glide easily on a smooth surface. With the mere push of a button, the base lights will be lit as the motor also starts to give the reviving sound of an ideal vacuum cleaner.
Going for only Price not available, it is largely masculine although it can be used by girls as well. As the child goes ahead with this vacuum cleaner, it will certainly make the work easier by picking some of the light particles which will be emptied later.
Conclusively, vacuum cleaner toys are becoming just as important as the conventional vacuum cleaners because children ought to be taught some basic skills such as using these appliances. One way to facilitate a child’s learning and intellectual development is by purchasing them such a gift. Now, you don’t need carry out any research, I’ve done the work for you. Not all of these toys will be ideal for your child, but I bet you are thinking to at least one which will do. Any thoughts on this stub? Please share them bellow.

So none of the toy vacuums are for a 20 month old child? I watch my grandson and he loves using mine when I clean. I want to get him one for Christmas and was looking for the best one here and see all are not for under 3 years old. Why is that? He uses mine quite well.

Unfortunately, manufacturers are forced to mark their products as for 3 years and up because these toys are made out of plastic parts and materials considered potentially dangerous to younger toddlers (mostly, if swallowed). Also, many consider these products have a certain complexity (these are thought to provide realistic role play), which is common for kids older than 3 years. But if your child is perspicacious, I guess that under supervision he can play with one.
My son is almost 18 months. He loooves to vacuum and has actually turned this little wagon toy he has into a vacuum. We have the purple Dyson Ball vacuum and I would love to get him the kids version. What about it makes it only for children over 3?
Jason Roberts says
Mostly the weight. Also, some small colored balls which you can see inside the toy’s bin may be ingested. If you believe he is up for playing with this toy, you can certainly get it, and allow him to enjoy it, but under constant supervision.

Where can I find to purchase the Miele, Dyson, and dirt devil toy vacuums? I am a Independent vacuum dealer and would love to buy them for promo items.
Jason Roberts says
Unfortunately, I am unaware of local distributors. You most certainly need volume, thus my best guess is that you could find some suppliers on Alibaba.com or on Made-in-China.com

Thank you Jason, Appreciate the info.
Have a great week!
Kinda surprised the dirt Devil Jr. Model is still available, I remember getting one for Christmas back in 1996, when I was 4 years old, looked just like the one shown there, except it had a working hose and it ran on 4 c batteries. It actually worked almost as well as moms Eureka Bravo! When you pull the bag and actually see gray dirt and cat hair in the bag of a toy, its surprising. A couple years later, the motor got burned up and it was tossed, then replaced with a Dirt devil vision Jr bagless, that one was so pathetic, it barely picked up paper! By the time I was 7, I decided I was done with vacuum toys and got real ones, a vintage 1950s Hoover lark electric broom my grandma gave me and a 1920s GE handheld my dad bought at a yard sale, both I still have today.
Of course, the dirt devil version I am referring to is from 1996, and I don’t know if the new one works like it did, if at all.
